Main tasks
of the Centre of Chemistry are focussed on the metrology assurance
of physico-chemical quantities having extensive use in practice
- amount of substance and associated quantities, pH, electrolytic
conductivity, transmittance. In connection with this aim in
the Centre are performed:
- maintainance and development of particular standards
- amount of substance, mole fraction in gas phase, air humidity,
pH, electrolytic conductivity and spectral transmittance;
- production and distribution of particular CRMs (calibrated
by mentioned standards), used for a traceability assurance
of measuring instruments in practice.

addition to production of above mentioned CRM for calibration
purposes another CRMs have been prepared.
Another services performed for consumers
present type approval and verification of motor vehicle
exhaust gas analysers and breath analysers, calibration
of hygrometers, conductometers, optical filters and spectral
cells for UV-VIS spectrometry and electrolytic conductivity
cells. The Chemistry Centre personnel also ensures education
of metrologists, elaborates expert judgements and gives
consultancies in the mentioned fields. |
