Calibration
of time and frequency quantum standards: cesium, rubudium
(R and S, C1-50, SVC-74). Calibration of oscillators with
high-stable crystal units (1 MHz, 5 MHz, 10 MHz).
Calibration of oscillator unit for time measuring
systems. Calibration of generators, frequency
synthesizers. Calibration of electronic counters up to
fmax = 48 GHz. Calibration of receivers of standard
signals for station DCF-77 and Loran-C, navigation
satellite system GPS. Calibration of comparators and
frequency multipliers 1 Mhz, 5 MHz, 10 MHz for time
interval higher than 0.1 s. Calibration of electronic
stop watches and devices for calibration of mechanical
stopwatches. Calibration of electronic stop watches by
ESW 2000. |

Above
mentioned devices are calibrated with the best standard
combined uncertainty of 3x10-14. |

Methods
of measurement: |
| |
|
|
- the method used for determination of a
relative frequency error at nominal values 1 MHz, 5 MHz,
10 MHz is the frequency difference measurement by a
frequency comparator in connection with a frequency
deviation multiplier;
- the method of
standard signal comparison at the time scale followed by
evaluation of the time scale differencies is used for
long-term standard tests;
- a short term
frequency instability - measurement of Allan variance for
oscillators with nominal values 1 MHz, 5 MHz, 10 MHz is
measured by using the frequency comparator in connection
with the frequency deviation multiplier in the range of
time interval from 0.1 s to 1000 s with uncertainty of
measurement 2x10-13. |

The
SMU time and frequency primary standards are based on the
cesium beam frequency standard in accordance with
definition of the International system of units SI. The
SMU Time and Frequency Standard is regulary
compared direct to the value of UTC in the BIPM Paris by
means of satellite system GPS. The relative error of
standard is continuosly kept at < 4x10-14.The
measurement of time and frequency generator, time meters,
meters of time interval and frequency is provided in a
range from 1 ns and at the frequency range up to 48 GHz. |
