SMU as one of a few metrological institutions in Europe gained confidence in its Quality Management System from the EUROMET Quality Forum in March 2001 in Bratislava.
From 2002 SMU Quality System is certified by ISO 9001: 2000.
SMU is one of the two institutions in Europe which besides certification has all metrological laboratories accredited by STN ISO/IEC 17025 . Centre for Chemistry is accredited by Dutch accreditation service RvA additionally.
Certification body for personal certification is certified by SNAS according to EN ISO/IEC 17024.
